Hello, I'm currently undergoing Proton Radiation Therapy treatments for prostate cancer and I'm wondering if it's okay to take Cialis and have sex during treatments.

Thanks for your help.

    Bleeding risks

    Hi,

Your inquiry should be directed to the radiotherapist treading you but in your shoes I would avoid medications that contribute to dilation of the arteries at the area of the treatment, where inflammation is notorious (RT effects). Cialis is a vasodilator that improves blood flow in the whole area not just at the penis. The colon will also receive reflected radiation which may cause some bleeding.

It all changes once the treatment ends. Reserve your instincts for  a later date. Enjoy.

Best wishes for a successful treatment.
