Breast cancer index test

Any information on the breast cancer index test?   My doctor wants me to take the test to determine whether I need to stay on tamoxifen past the five year mark.   The test will cost me just under $1000 out of pocket.   If I use my insurance (which is acting like they wont cover it) I will pay $1350.   i Honestly don't know what to do.  Breast cancer just keeps on being a pain.

    I have never heard of that test.  The only one I took was the Oncotype test to determine whether I needed chemo.  My doctor allowed me to discontinue Tamoxifen after 5 years, but everyone is different.  Sorry the test is so expensive and your insurance doesn't want to pay for it.  Good luck.  I'm sure you'll make the right decision.
