One Of Our Very Own CSN Members
CSN member Mikemetz has written a book about his cancer experiences. The book was recently released on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The title is "My Two Journies in the Cancer World: Team Mike Versus the Prarie Dogs". Mike learned he had cancer in February of 2009. He joined CSN in 2011 and has gone through much and shared his experiences on here and has been a great help to many. If you have been on here for a bit you have no doubt seen Mike's postings. Mike has gone through his times of trouble with his experiences but doesn't let it get him down. He is an inspiration to many. I believe he has had several bouts with cancer and has had his jawbone replaced on one side. If I'm wrong on any of this he can correct me. Mike has told me that all Royalties of his book will be donated to the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance. I believe it will be a good read.

Thanks, Russ
Thanks for making that announcement, and thanks to CSN Support for letting it stay up. Just one correction. I've only had one bout with cancer (Journey 1 in 2009), but a very long history of serious side effects from the chemo and rads (Journey 2), including the jaw resection in 2014. The book has a very positive chapter about the HNC Discussion Board on CSN. One member, Skiffin16, wrote a short pre-publication review in the book.

For correcting me as I read so many different stories from folks on here sometimes I don't keep them all straight in my head.

I am glad Skiffen 16 wrote a comment in your book as he is one of our longer-term well-respected folks on here and he went through a lot and always has good advice-Take, Care-God Bless

Just Finished the Book One of Our Members Wrote
And you might want to read it. Mike gives great insight into his fight with cancer. He tells about the many twists and turns he went through and about the support of a great wife and many friends. His fight and with struggles and wins and setbacks over the years but never lost his fighting spirit and refuses to let cancer claim victory. There are many things in his story we can all relate to and this book is good for caregivers' cancer patients, survivors, and others. And best of all Royalties of his book will be donated to the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance which will help others-Take Care-God Bless
