portacath mri scan and head and neck scan
I was wondering if I had my head and neck and clavicle bone scaned for cancer. Would my portacath be seen or at least the catheter to my neck artery? I have found a scar were it was inserted into my chest after 20 years you would think it would be completly gone funny is I still can take pictures of the scar cause its not faded enough.

Is your PortaCath still
Is your PortaCath still implanted? Not totally sure I’m understanding your question, but if you still have your Port, then yes, it would be seen on Imaging studies. If your Port is removed, there is no internal catheter into the vein anymore. Not sure if I answered your question......but hoping that helps.
Take care!
