Hello Bruce,

Hope you are doing well after your surgery. I had Esthesioneuroblastoma diagnosed in April of 2019 and had my surgery in May/June of 2019 (2 surgeries). I have been doing well since then. I go back for check-ups every 3 months to get an MRI done.

Esthesioneuroblastoma

I was diagnosed in October 2009, following emergency surgery in my sphenoid sinus, via my nose.  In December, I had cancer removal surgery, followed by 33 radiation sessions (with weekly chemo) and four months of chemo.

Since then, eleven years ago, I've had much fatigue that is reduced by sufficient sleep.  However, I cannot sleep (or nap) at all and require a nightly regimen of sleeping pills, using two alarm clocks to re-dose.  It's kind of a "double whammy." My fatigue continues and I can function somewhat like a normal person, with shortened days to allow for sleep time.  When I don't sleep well (2-4 times per month), the next day is miserable with high fatigue and headache. 

These conditions are due to collateral radiation damage to my hypothalamus/pituitary, as confirmed by all my doctors.  Happy/lucky to be alive.

I'd like to converse with someone familiar with this condition.
