So I dont see many actual patients posting here. Just a lot of caregivers.  I'm 32. Don't really have much for a support system.  Not emotional anyways.  My wife was in the process of leaving me when we found out.  i rapidly lost feeling in my right hand and arm and I quickly developed a limp.  Doc quickly prescribed Avastin and I've just had my second infusion.  very quickly I saw Massive improvment.  After about a week I was feeling like my old self again. This only lasted about 3 or 4 days and then I very quickly started going downhill again. the tumor is in my thalamus so inoperable.  Is this normal for Avastin. My onc only has me o half dose but can up it.    Please help I'm scared and alone and I don't want to die.   I have a special needs son who has no idea what's going on. I'm just really scared and I want someone to give me some hope

    Inoperable thalamus cancer

My brain tumor was wrapped around my carotid artery and only partially removed.  Fortunately 9 chemo and 33 radiation treatments either eliminated or substantially shrunk the tumor.  At 32 you are young enough to probably better weather treatments.  Sorry I don't know anything about Avastin.  I take gabapentin and Ketamine for pain in my face.  Good luck and remember to try to enjoy the things you have and not let the things you don't have get you down.
