Checking-In

Hello all - it's been awhile so I figured that I'd check-in.  Happy New Year!  My two-year post bilateral partial nephrectomy appointment was in December 2019.  The renal ultrasound showed something "suspicious" on the left kidney...so a CT abdomen/pelvis was ordered.  CT confirmed surgical change only, just scar tissue.  Phewww!  Still NED at two years!  Sticking with follow-ups every six months.  I'm doing well, still jogging and getting into high intensity interval training (HIIT) classes at the gym.  Talk about an ****-kicking.  Although, I've been slacking since Thanksgiving.  Oops!  Trying to eat right and taking each day as it comes.  I don't sign-on as often as I once did...but think of you all often.  As has been mentioned, sometimes you just need a break from thinking about this awful disease.  Take good care and keep on keeping on!
