Waiting to Exhale
It is comforting to see the posts from the "support beams" of this community. I sign on and feel like I am peeking from behind a curtain sometimes, hoping if I stay hidden that cancer will never find me again.. I went for my third round of blood work and will have the third CT scan this Thursday. Feels like I am holding my breath once again. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers that all will be clear. Life has been sweet since my surgery in February. I have enjoyed my little mountain place while I healed and made new friends as well. I wanted to get out of "town" where I currently am and back in my little village where I had my old cabin when I found out I had cancer. I went back looking at my old place last week and magically, 4 doors down from the cabin I sold was another one for sale. It was as if it was waiing for me. I made an offer and it was accepted. I literally have movers coming in the morning to put my stuff in storage. I will bounce back and forth between daughters for a couple of weeks until I close on it. I so hope I have beat this beast and can settle back on my mountain and be the "little old lady" in the cabin for the rest of my days. If I said I wasn't scared I'd be lying. I have my scan on Thursday and then meet with my doctor on the 10th to discuss the results. I will be holding my breath once again. I'm hoping the rug doesn't get jerked out from under me after all that has happened in the past year. Thanksgiving holidays came and I was reminded of so many things I am grateful for and have been blessed with in my life. I spent the day at the park with my four "boys" running and playing after a huge turkey dinner lol. I couldn't help but think back to this time last year when my energy and appetite barely existed. I keep all of you in my thoughts and wish for strength, hope, and love to fill your souls as you travel the path no one wants to find themselves on. Much love and huge hug!!....M

Update and Scan
Thank you for the update and congratulations on the new purchase. Wishing you the best on your scan and feeling that this is going to be a great Christmas for you. You have some nice looking boys there. Enjoy your mountains as it will bring you much peace right now during scanxiety time.

I have been thinking of you Mojo
Knowing that you want to 'forget' - yeah, like that will happen - Cancer and live live live you life, I've not pestered you.
How exciting to find a cabin so close to all your happy memories. May you sit in the rocking chair on the porch until you're older than Methuselah and greyer than an English sky.
Scans will never be easy, so roll with it.
The pictures are FANTASTIC and so are you.

Exhale
Gee, and I was thinking this would be a post about medical marijuana . It's great that you have found a new home in such a familiar location. Having a place you are comfortable is so important, no matter what the circumstances. Best of luck with the upcoming scans. At least on this forum the impact of scanxiety is well understood.

What a lovely cottage!
So happy you were able to find a home in your very favorite place! We are on such a similar trajectory as I have the "3 month" scans and labs on the 16th --everything hangs in the balance doesn't it? And each scan takes on added imortance I feel--praying that you and I continue to be NED !
