Finally Home-Just a Brief Update

OK folks saying Hi and I am finally home. Just came home Monday afternoon Nov. 4 and had my first night at home in awhile. Had my first day today. The wife and I spent most of today dealing with the stuff they sent home from rehab, organizing meds and had visiting nurse and speech pathologist visit. I am still tired and tire easily, something I’m not used to. and have some recovery ahead of me for sure. Not feeling that great yet and have good days and bad days but certainly glad to be home. I ended up spending 35 days in Hershey Med. And having 6 operations And 10 days in Lancaster General Rehab Hospital. I will be starting to write a brief as possible summary of what happened step by step as best I can without it getting too long or overwhelming as I feel up to it. I look at the forum and it is overwhelming how many posts that I am behind on reading it is too much for me right now. I think my head is a little foggy yet also. The main thing was after my neck dissection I was to get out and go home in a couple days but a damaged Kylie Valve in the area of the operation on my neck was damaged and would not quit draining. It involved 2 more operations to stop the drainage with a Thoracic Surgeon going in on the right side of my chest and binding or tying tissue together around the supply tube to the kylie valve and it finally slowed and stopped. Hard to find info on kylie valves on internet maybe someone can find it and don’t know if I am spelling it right. Anyway thanks for all the prayers and I will write as I feel fit-God Bless
