In hospital for Look See
Surprise for me at my 3 mo. exam. CT showed no cancer anywhere but alas it did show a golf ball size sac of fluid at the vaginal cuff. In order to have a pelvic w/o excessive bleeding due to blood thinners, had to go off the Eliqus and then 48 hrs. later, have pelvic. Due to bleeding when the sac was punctured, gyn/onc decided she would prefer to do an exam in OR. So, I went straight into the hospital and OR look will be Thursday. I know I should be thankful my doctor can move so quickly but it sort of took me by surprise. My children and in laws are wonderful and as 3 of them are in medicine, I have lots of advisors and watchdogs! So, today will pass the time with Acorn TV, 3 books and naps. I am rather tired of being the poster child for things that are unusual! My radiologist called after he looked at CT and said it was not usual but could be from scarring as I am the one who had 8 Brachys!! I'll check back in on Friday, hopefully, and be able to say All good. DF

I hope you are comfortable. I remember thinking when you said you had stopped using your dilator and had just decided to let your vaginal canal close. Our vaginas constantly secrete fluit and I wondered how it would work when the tissue grew together and there was no longer any outleft for the secretions. I suspect that is what the fluid is. And now the doctors are going to have to figure out how to let it secape as it is made. Hopefully that is all it is. I keep saying the commonest things are the commonest. These treatments create new problems and new solutiions have to be created. I think they will come up with something. We are all sending love and prayers for your successful treatment of this problem

I don't think your vaginal canal closes when you stop using the dilator. Let's not get that started. You may get more stenosis but it doesn't close

It doesn't close. I stoPoe's using the dialator a month later and that was in 2006. It doesn't close. you may get scar tissue. I was still getting paps. Ite bern fine until this past Tuesday when I had an episode of bleeding. Getting that checked next Thursday.

Best possible outcome
All went well in the OR and doc was able to get the sac of liquid out. All else was clean and there was little pain or bleeding after. Am scheduled to go home this morning and just take it easy for a few days. She did freeze the thing and having a path check but appears to just be old blood. Seems the scarring causes fluid to sort of get trapped. Now have a clean vagina and hope it stays that way. Thanks for all your good thoughts.
