continued prayers on the wayJan4you said:Grandbaby's open heart surgery.
I know this is not related to Kidney cancer, but I had asked for hopeful thoughts and prayers for my now 4 month old granddaughter, Melina. She was born with a heart defect and had surgery the same day as ICEMAN.
I am 5.5 years NED from losing my left kidney to the C word. I also have a rare kidney disorder to tend with along with some other chronic health issues. Honestly, I never worried about the kidney cancer or scans. (sorry for those struggliny) I always had other things to work on medically. LOL
Tomorrow my baby granddaughter gets another Echo cardiogram to see if the fluid around her heart is in the normal range or not. We just hope she doesn't have to go back to a chest tube.
Know how much I do lift you all in spirit, even when I am not on this site as much. Strength in numbers and combined spiritual energy can do wonders!
Healing hugs, Jan
Her surgery went well, but now has a complication and may have to go back to NICU and chest tube placed back in her chest. Poor thing has been through more than most adults have known in a lifetime.
If your granddaughter's anything like you, Melinda's gonna heal up strong. Hoping for continued healing!

Hi Jan, I believe it must be the hardest thing to experience as parents and grandparents seeing the little one suffering. Don't know how to comfort you but sending lots of prayer to the little girl and the family. Take care.

Iceman, good to hear they got
Iceman, good to hear they got it all!
And Jan, keeping fingers crossed for your granddaughter. This is the most terrible thing the one can witness. She's been through a lot, but she is too young to remember it later on in life. She won't remember anything! And small children are VERY resilient. She will be all right! Wishing strength to her, her parents and you!

Prayers going up
Oh Iceman, I totally understand your term about 2nd rodeo. I never thought I would have a whole different cancer either. My doc said if you were to get cancer again it was better than mets. I guess he was right but I still told him no cancer is NOT great in any fashion. I dont know about you but it really made me so mad. I am just now healing since my July opration with major complications. Your made from steel and you can get back on the path again.
Stay positive. Laugh often.
Hugs,
Annie

Is doing well. My 3 month old great nephew just had open heart surgery a couple weeks ago. He's had some scary moments but is better now off oxygen and collapsed lung healing. I pray for your girl for healing and hope for the whole family.

The last 3 days I was focased on my Big Moment. Today it finally arrived. Just like RCC. Tommorrow I lose my bonus FC andI cam walk free again. Heard from Pathology that they got it all. but wom't know until a PSA in 6 weeks. Mine was a little on the badder side. Too old to water ski less than a year later as with the RCC> A whole new perspective on this board after going to a SeconD Rodeo.
