Gastric sleeve before tumor removal
my mom is scheduled for gastric sleeve surgery to lose about 50lbs before she can have surgery to remove her metastatic tumor in the vaginal wall recurrence of anal cancer. She is also undergoing chemo every 3 weeks, I’m very nervous for her to undergo this surgery while having chemo being weak

Would it be at all possible
Would it be at all possible to lose the weight without the surgery? I personally would be worried about gastric sleeve surgery with cancer ... but just get a second opinion from a doctor. You have to trust their medical advice about what is best. They are probably thinking that the best thing would be to lose the weight as soon as possible so she can get the surgery.
Sorry this isn't much help.
