Still trying to recover health and financially

I can relate to the financial
I can relate to the financial pain. I went thru the Big C in 20017, cost us just over $10k..managing, but not easy..this year my husband is fighting the same cancer. Another $10k...we are not managing now. You do what you can, cut back where you can, but the debt is mounting. Being retired, there are no raises in our future, our savings are gone. I tried going back to work but my "chemo brain" is so unreliable that I could not do it. Selling our house is the next plan. Not the retirement we planned!
