Finding a reason

I have a friend who is also a close neighbor, and we live in the country, so by close I mean about 4 miles down the road. She has just been diagnosed with breast cancer, she has an agressive kind and is HER positive. She is waiting for a surgery date and then will be having both chemo and radiation. Although she is fortunate to have a lot of very close family members, I feel like I will be able to help her through some of her upcoming journey. I have told her to ask me anything and that I am here to help her in any way that I can. She is keeping me posted on everything. I feel like this gives me a bit of a reason for the chemo and all that I recently went through. I'm still dealing with a few lingering side effects from my chemo, but it's nice to know I can put some of that to use for someone else.

    Do tell her

about CSN.  I wish I'd known from the beginning instead of nearly 3 months into treatment.

    I agree with Connie

    I agree with Connie

The breast cancer board is quite active and I'm sure it will have lots of good information for your friend in addition to the information you can share from your own experience.

A soft place at a very hard time

She must really appreciate your care and knowledge.   It is hard to find someone you can talk to who doesn't have their own emotions and questions.  Nice for her to find someone who has answers.
