Radiation
I just had my 21st treatment out of 28.If my skin holds out I will have a 5 day "boost". My breast itches! The underside is ugly with some peeling and soreness. It is a deep red. I am putting Calendula cream, Aquaphor, and A&D ointment. Anything else you can suggest? Also how long was it when the skin started to get back to "normal"? Thanks
Linda

Moisturizers
Hi Kate,The Calendula cream I started putting on from day one. It has helped the most. I put in on right after I am finished in the dressing room, then at 4pm and bedtime. I will be using it more this weekend as I am starting to peel a bit. It isn't much and I went a very long time before getting to this point. I only have seven left. If all goes well I will have a five day boost making a total of 33 treatments. I am putting A&D ointment at night and that has helped a lot. I just started it because of the peeling issue. I wish you the best. Drink all the water you can it really does help.

Yes I have. Mine startedunknown said:Accelerated Partial Breast External Beam Radiation
I had accelerated partial breast External Beam Radiation which was twice per day for one week. I didn't notice anything the week of radiation but I am this week-reddening and increased in arm lyphedema. Anyone else have APBR?
Yes I have. Mine started reddening the last 2 weeks. I was in so much pain. The doctor thought I wasn't working, but I told them I was during my radiation treatments. It started to get me down the last week. After the last week, I took a couple of weeks off because my skin was black, sore, red and burning, but it healed up realy good. The lymphema hurts really, really, bad.
