modified radical neck dissection

Hi there. I had a total tyroidectomy 1 year ago and now June 6th I will undergo a left lateral modified neck dissection. If anyone has recently had this surgery, I would love to hear your experience with surgery, drainage tube and recovery. Specifically loss of movement, numbness, edema, etc. etc. Thank you!!
