Update on mom

My Mom was diagnosed with 2nd recurrence (super rare) in the vaginal area. Lymph node came back negative so we are thankful for that! She starts chemo next week same regimen adding cystplain? 4 days on 3 weeks off for 4 months. She is considered starge 4 with Mets to the vagina. After 2 rounds she will get the gastric sleeve to lose about 50lbs to get her in condition for total pelvic exteration. She is willing to fight so we are along side her the entire way! She joked with her oncologist and said you just want to put me in your journals and he said yes as a survivor so let’s do this!

Thank you for the update on your mom.  I must say she is quite a trooper!  I love that she has such a great attitude and strong will to beat this disease.  Please keep us posted on how she does through treatment.  Please know that I will be thinking of her and I wish her all the very best.

Thanks for the update on your Mom.  I am post surgeries for a reoccurrence and a metasis to the lung.  A tiny spot lit up in my lung in my recent PET scan.  Too small for a biopsy so I will have 5 radiation treatments.  No chemo yet and I will have a PET scan every three months.  I am working and feeling good.  Looking forward to a visit from my son and granddaughter this weekend.  I will keep your mom and you in my prayers.

I will be thinking and praying it’s stays tiny, and radiation gets rid of the pesky little bugger! Mom comtinues to work and hoped to through chemo. She had an mri Thursday which said no change from initial recurrence mri in march
