2.5 years for my cystic ccrcc

Hi all,

I have been having some pretty bad scanxiety this time causing some physical issues like loss of voice and gum infection. I have never known stress can contribute to such a problem. High ferritin perhaps from my fatty liver and etc.

The good news is my 2.5 years scan (this time chest X-ray + US again) came back clear yesterday: NED!

Also, for those of you who have cystic related rcc, more research suggests a better prognosis and low risk of metastases. Please try to stay positive. I know it is easy to say than done, I am a perfect example! I am now on an 8 months scan instead of 6 months.

Once again, I wish you all good health and the best outcome from treatment!

Cheers!

Thank you, I guess it really

Thank you, I guess it really depends on the personality especially when I do live with order anxiety issues :)

    Good news, Lobbyist

Thanks for sharing your good news!  I know there are doubters out there, but scanxiety is a real thing.  We all have to cope with it otherwise it will negatively impact our lives.

Let Old Uncle NED know he can pack his bags and travel to the midwest around late June to visit me for my scans.

    Thank you Stub

Thank you Stub, I will definitely tell Uncle NED to visit you!!

In fact, I started a poll in a FB kidney cancer survivor group and realized there are so many long-term survivors. One lady has been a survivor for more than "31 YEARS" and another lady has been over "50 YEARS" she got hers when she was 5!

So please everyone (including myself), let's try to stay positive!
