l have this pain that won’t go away just past the end of my incision for open partial neph right side.  It’s a persistent pain that feels muscular right under my rib cage. Hurts when I bend certain ways and hurts more at night when I’m sleeping on my side then during the day. During the day I feel it at times when I stretch the wrong way or get in and out of chairs.  Wondering if this is related to surgery, could be scar tissue??  It feels like muscular pain though, that muscle under the shoulder blade that extends to the spine but it’s onky on my right side which is where I was nephews. Anyone experience this after surgery?

You're not that far out from surgery so I can see still having some pain. Did you discuss with the doc?

    Call

We've pretty much all had pain that showed up and made us wonder, but all the same? Call your doctor. The 10th is a week and a half away. You don't want to be second guessing yourself for the next ten days and nights. Peace of mind is a good thing.

I'm 15 months out from my partial open.   My side still hurts when I do certain things (bending, lifting, etc).   Also sore at times when I lay on that side to sleep.   Doc told me it's muscular/scar tissue.   I also still have numbness on my right side and top of my right thigh.   Kind of stinks, but I'm glad to be rid of cancer and deal with it.    Hopefully yours clears up.

    This sounds like exactly what

This sounds like exactly what I am dealing with because of the location of the pain.  I hope it is that and agree that all things considered it is a fine consequence of a surgery that hopefully made me cancer free.  I am going to call my doc though.  Thanks all for the responses.

    Hi Dominick

I still have tightness and slight pains at the end of my scar towards my back. Tightness in the middle area. I was going to a physical therapist for a different issue and he did astym massage along my scar and taught me a couple of breathing exercises that have been helpful. My surgeon says it is scar tissue. I am a 21/2 years out from surgery. You are still healing and gender from all your body has been through. Hope that it is just natural healing.Smile
