Waiting
I’m sitting here, with my IV and REDI CAT drink, waiting for CT Scan. Blood draw is done.
This is is my 12 month scan. How fast a year goes by. If all is good my next scan might be my last.

Here's hoping!
Here's hoping for great results. Only people with our experience seem to understand what "scanxiety" truly is.

Well I hopefully had my last
Well I hopefully had my last in Jan., but I try to presume little. I even asked if the onc wanted to do a yearly thing. I guess I liked knowing there were no suprises elsewhere in my torso. He said the elevated cancer risk wasn't worth the view. Since CEA has been useful for me, I'm happy to let a blood test be the "canary in the coalmine". I hope it all works out well for you, Phil, and you don't have to have your mind hijacked by this junk anymore, except to tell a sucessful survivor story to those who need to hear one..........................................Dave

Wonderful news! NED forever!Phil64 said:Good News!
Thank you all for the kind words, understanding, and well wishes. The scans are clear and CEA is under 1.0.
I meet with my onc on Monday and will hear about next steps.
Dave,
My CEA has also been a good marker. I’m hoping this was my last scan! But we shall see. Dec 2019 will be five years NED; however. Feb of 2020 will be five years since no chemo. I don’t know how they count it.

So happy for you!
It's always great to hear when someone beats cancer! I think they will scan you again and usually don't consider you cured until 5 years has passed. That's been the case with those I know who've reached that point. Of course, you know more about it than me. lol
