hi has anyone stopped bracytherapy after start ? like many others, the uncertainty of side effects being worse than waiting .
Figo 1 staged at 1B ONLY because I am 57; no other evidence of disease.

As far as I know, age is not taken into account for staging.

IB is when the tumor is growing into the muscle layer of the uterus, and has grown more than half way through it.
The other very important consideration is what grade the tumor was, and whether it was endometrioid, or serous or clear cell. It seems to me that you need reassurance that you are doing the right thing - perhaps you should get a second opinion.

Aw, looks like your first post
Sorry you are having to deal with this disease. Can you give us a bit more information? Do you know the Grade of your tumor? It makes a big difference to what they recommend for treatment. Is the FIGO 1 the grade of your tumor? I think they recommend different treatments for different people. Have you already had one treatment? Are you having chemotherapy too? Or just thinking of having no treatment?
