Outage and Data Loss
EDITED: I initially posted a response based upon emotion, rather than objective thought.
Lost 3 months of data??
Very unfortunate and disappointing.
What I as a Member would like to know is....................................
More details on what happened?
More details on what are you doing to ensure that this does not happen again?
And, did any of our Members' information get stolen or otherwise compromised?

Outage and Data Loss
I am sorry for the loss of precious data on the experiences of board members but I am also worried if this occurrence is a result from any sort of phishing scam. The private data stored at CSN's servers could be in the hands of malicious troupes. Yes, I agree with Josephg. It would be nice to know what has caused the accident. I wonder if the loss of the contents were due to another strange "upgrade" of the CSN interface.
Old Salt informs in his thread about his willingness in stop attending this forum. This is a great lost. He has been a great commentator and supplier of good information. I hope he decides to continue his activity in helping the many even if that means assistance on other PCa boards. We will miss you here.

No significant data for me
Hi H,
As you say there is not much lost in data terms, Georges Calvez is not my real name and the email account is not in my real name either, I live in France but there are a lot of men who live in France, the medical data I have put on here is hardly highly confidential and connecting it to me would be a challenge.
Sadly we havee lost a lot of data that includes queries from people that are seriously ill and were looking for advice and support, hopefully they will be back.
Best wishes,
Georges -
Many have shared private data
I value this organization for its main subject on cancer. At several occasions we saw the intervention of the administrators and their effort in trying to avoid abuses by the participants. I have trusted them and did provide my private data, not just a simple password.

Posting
Hi there,
There are a lot more lurkers than posters.
Looking at the views on posts you can see a lot of people browse the site looking for cases similar to theirs or information.
I have not posted much on Yananow but I have looked at hundreds of histories, I really do have to add my own to say thank you.
Best wishes,
Georges -
