Normal TG but abnormal lymph nodes

I had a near-total thyroidectomy half a year ago, went really well thank G-d. My hormone levels have been high, but TG has been steady. On my 6 month ultrasound there were lymph nodes that shouldn't have been there. My doctor wants me to do the US again somewhere else, but sounds really not sure about whether or not it means anything. I had some nodes before surgery, but pathology from the surgery only showed two microcarcinomas (one per side) and all the lymph nodes were normal then. Anyone else had anything like that? I have seasonal/dust allergies but haven't been feeling sick or anything that would explain lymph nodes.
