Anyone had Cataract Removal Surgery? I'd love to hear your experience
Hello,
I recently had cataract removal surgery due to exposure to TBI and cyclosporine from a bone marrown transplant to treat ALL. So, my right eye went smoothly, no real issues. But my left eye lens ended up having to be repositioned (another surgery) and I was told that radiation exposure (although TBI is quite minimal) could have changed the physiology of my lens capsule, why the complication. I am recovering but this has been a sort of ordeal that I was not anticipating. Has anyone else had the surgery and/or complications (even if not, still love to hear experiences) or know someone who has.
