Set Free
Sending loving kindness to everyone at this discussion board:
I'm happy to report that I was recently "set free" by my Oncologists. At least that is what he calls it: being "set free". And, oh, does freedom feel good. Once I got through the first year after treatment for stage II anal cancer, the remaining four years went by quickly. Radiation does strange things to the body and that is something I will live with for the rest of my life. And hopefully the rest of my life will continue to go on because of the radiation that saved me. I've been very fortunate to have a wonderful radiologist and hematologist and a large consort of various health care professionals that were with me through the fight. And I am so thankful they chose a profession that offers selfless service to cancer patients and their loved ones.
Hugs to all of them and to all of you. I'm free! Tat duh duh ...
