Topotecan or Docetaxel

My oncologist has offered me topotecan or docetaxel weekly if chemotherapy is selected.  I  wonder if any of you have had either of these chemo or havd an opinion as to which would be best.  I am 3 years since ovarian diagnosis.  I am a 79 year old woman with no previous health problem.  I had carboplatin/taxol, with emergency surgery in the middle of the 6 treatments.   I then had  3 months weekly Gemcinbine (Gemzar), 10 monthly treatments of doxil, 6 months of Avastin.  I have tolerated all the chemos well, ie; other than losing my hair initially, no other side effects, certainly better than others in this forum.   My last dose of Avastin was in November.

CA 125 held steady in the 40's for 4 months then slowly began to creep up.  The last 2 months showed dramatic increase.  I had a CT scan today and will dicuss with the oncologist which treatment should be started next and when or if.  I am essentially sympton free which is such a blessing.  Its hard to know at what point to start another chemo regiment and not feel as well as I do now.  Evidently my choices are Topotecan or Docetaxel weekly. If any of you have had experiences with either of these chemos I'd appreciate your input.  What a journey we are having!  Prayers to all that it is a long one.

I have not taken either or those but there are a few people who wrote about taking topotecan here. Hang in there. Big hug to you.
