Complications..Cant Get A Break...Want To Heal!!

Post 19 Days. Chemoradiation...want to heal no more damn pain. Stupid Fissure or new hole in Anus...a friggin nightmare. Like tumour all over again.Radiology Team wont see me bacause of the 'Past 14 Day Policy' BS that policy is. There machine put a new hole in me. Why wont they see me. Called Patient Services at Cancer Center...they told me to go to Emergency and start the whole damn process again!! Spoke with Nurse at Champlain.she suggested Vitamin A oil...called around at various Retail Ottawa Stores and Homeopathic Stores ( not available other than cream with added ingredients) . Pharmacist suggested alternative Vitamin E oil...put on genatils and bum...stung like crazy. Not again...eh Gad!!

Frustrated...just want normalcy in my life not more complications.

    Have you tried Aloe?  That might help with your burn pain.

    Patience required, though difficult.

    I don't want to add to your distress, but I developed 2 fissures from radiation. They took well over 2 years for them to heal. Don't compare day to day - there's not enough progress - but look back over a month or 2 and you may see incrimental improvements.

    Whenever I was scoped by the colorectal doc, he split them open again so that I felt added pain for months. I stopped seeing him.

    I used inter-anal cocoa butter or coconut oil. Try to apply whatever you use before the 1st BM of the day to seal the raw skin.

    Thanks for the 'middle-of-the-night-cant-sleep-encouragement'...this aint getting better. Time will heal he said BS..worst psin after 23 days..cant sleep now. Not allowed Oxycodone..they dont want hard stools forming to make matters worse...poo oozing frequently now...hard to keep myself clean. AND I SMELL BAD TOO BOOT!!!
