I don't have your husband's type of cancer so I can't answer your question. But I suggest that you post this question on the cancer-specific discussion board that addresses the primary site of your husband's cancer (such as lung, head and neck, etc). You don't have to be the one with cancer to post on the cancer-specific boards.
I hope you find others to help you with your questions as your husband undergoes treatment.
