What a great story! I'm so
What a great story! I'm so glad you got to do this. I bet you can't wait for Part II.
I just took a trip also, to the West Coast of Oregon, where I was born and raised. Have one sister there, another came from CA. so it was nice to see them. Also a brother further upstate. One more coming out here to see me this week. So I'll have seen them all. Saw my two kids and between them, the 6 grands. Oldest is 18 today, youngest is 6. So great to see all of them. It was even nice to see the Ex, Dad of the adult children. It really was.One can't help but feel, or believe, that this is the last time you'll see them. But I could not say "Goodbye." Instead I made a point of saying, "See you next time."
Anyway, not to hijack your nice post here...I checked out your FB Group and hope you'll allow me in! Looks great.

Great news
So glad to hear the trip was a success. Good for the soul. On tour with the band summer of "18", can't wait to hear for a tour in 19. Enjoy the rest of the summer.

You're not too far off
While there was no official band, we did get a cool little jam session going during a party a friend threw for me. He and his wife are in a band, so they have the full set-up in the living room. I got to do some not-so-great drumming and some mediocre bass playing. But it was close enough for rock and roll, and I had a good time.
