So great to hear! Keep going with hope in your heart. I was stage 3 and now am 3 years out. Nothing is certain in this life, but keep the faith.
Thank you! Faith is what has gotten me where I am, and is what keeps me going every day

Thank you for keeping us updated and for being part of this forum. I followed your posts closely because I am also Stage 3C (one node), Grade 3 endometrial CA diagnosed March 2017. Similar treatment, robotic TAH-BSO, 6 cycles carbo/tax, and 3 brachytherapy. I elected to hold off on pelvic external radiation, which was a difficult decision, and your decision making process was helpful in deciding for myself (as you discussed, the experts have various opinions). I am also currently NED.
And congratulations on your one-year mark!
Thank you so much! I am so happy to hear you are NED too! I am glad I could help in some way

Very happy for you, and thank you for reporting back a year out. I remember reading another warrior's post to encourage people to come back and report on their status, even though time has passed. It certainly gives hope to all.
Thank you! I try to come back and read through posts of new people and encourage when I can too. I remember looking for positive posts when I was going through it and want to do the same for others.

Hi Cass! I’m new to this butCass83 said:just 1
They found it in 1 lymph node so removed that one, then took out 7 more and all 7 were clear. Anything else I can help you with, feel free to send me a message too
Hi Cass! I’m new to this but so happy to hear your
good news. I was dx with stage 1a/grade 3 uterine
cancer. I’m to have 3 rounds of vaginal brachytherapy.
Can you please tell me your experience with your radiation.
All the side effects I’ve been reading about are scaring me.
Would appreciate any other members thoughts as well. Thank
you for bringing good news and encouragement to us.

I had upsc stage 1a and recieved Brachytherap. There was some scarring that was a little painful when aggravated.... for about 3 months. It is much better now. The procedure was easy for me. I had no discomfort. That is my experience. Not sure if others were different.

It was vaginal. They wanted to save the pelvic radiation in case of recurrence. I am from Canada and am not sure if the protocol is different in the states. They changed things 2 days before I was to start the pelvic radiation.

Jbird, you had chemo before surgery? Bless! I bet that was hard. How did they know you were IVB before surgery?
In my case, the radiologist found a number of suspicious nodules on the peritoneum and omentum via CT scan. Later, the surgical pathology report did find some cancer on the omentum sample.
Of course, suspicious CT and PET scans do not mean trouble 100% of the time, but it does alert the onco to really pay close attention to those particular areas, and often, treatment proceeds as if the initial opinion (or guess!) is indeed the stage. Because of that CT scan (and. of course, the biopsy that followed), I underwent neoadjuvant treatment ... the initial three CT scans before surgery, and five later. The purpose of the initial three scans was to shrink or eliminate the nodules as much as possible before surgery.0 -

Hi Doo57, so sorry you have to join the group, but we are here to help however we can! The radiation was the part I looked forward to the least, but ended up being easy on me. I had no side affects. When I go for my 3 month exams there is some scarring, which is normal, but it doesn't cause me any pain. I am very thankful that anything I read about, I didn't have happen. Don't read too much was something a friend told me, and it helped too Anything else I can do for you, just let me know! (I like to pray for others!)
