Cyberknife done
Hi all,
I finished my Cyberknife treatment yesterday afternoon. I guess they say 2-3 months to see if it worked. They are also going to have the head radiologist at the hospital look at my scans to see if he can put a marker on the tumor near my heart. If so, we can cyberknife that one as well, if not, well, who know what then.
Will keep posting as I get more info.
Thanks to all for being here,
Alan

Quick updateavargov said:RF Ablation
After talking to Onc yesterday, he is having me see a radiologist to see if I am a candidate for RF ablation for the other tumor. Has anyone had this procedure, and if so, how was it?
Thanks,
Alan
Had to cancel my appointment yesterday for Ablation consult. Appt was for 9:00 am and at 10:00, as I was still in waiting room, went up to ask what was going on. They said they were running 1 to 1.5 hours behind. I exploded. One of my faults is that I am a stickler for punctuality. My time is just as important as the Dr.'s. My question was how you can be an hour and a half behind when you have only been open for half an hour. So I walked out, phoned Onc's office, and asked them to find a different place to have consult. I know, I have been know to cut off my nose to spite my face, but cancer doesn't get to make me go against my principles.

I hope you find them responsive to your complaint and don't have this problem again.
I do wonder if the Oncologist may have been caught up at a hospital or something. The receptionist should have explained what was going on, to ease your frustration.
It is good to hear that you are done with at least one stage of your treatment, and hope the rest flows smoothly.

Yes your time is just as relevant. Can believe they didn't come and tell you they were running that far behind. My oncologist would run 2 hours behind and they would never say a word. Just hated that. Don't blame you for being mad. Sometimes I've made appointments to be first in the morning or first after lunch. Hate the waiting game as well.
