in Colorectal Cancer #1

Hello everyone,

My wife who is 44 is diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer with mets to the liver, andrenal, and hip bone.  She has been on chemo for the last year and she has been doing really good with.  They have changed up medicines a couple of times for numerous reasons. She has been told by her oncologist at Sloan kettering that her cancer is incurable and she is not a candidate for surgery, and that they will continue to do pallative care for her. Like I wrote earlier she has been tolerating the chemo really well, but I know at some point her body will break down on her.  I am currently looking at diffrent options including second opinions and want to know if anyone tried going to a place called Envita and what their experience was and is it worth going???

    Hi Kevin,

    I am 54 have colon cancer mets to liver and lungs. Diagnosed at MD Andrson cancer center in February 2016, iincurable like your mom. I had 2nd opinion from CTCA, they said they might be doing surgery with a multidisciplinary team but still was very risky and did not do it. I am not familiar with Evita.

    Second opinion

    we Have a second opionion with MD Anderson in 3 weeks.  Envita is an alternative cancer center.  They beleive in non traditional treatment using your body to fight the cancer.

    Second Opinion

    My oncologist is Cathy Eng at MD Anderson, she is a good doctor and straight forward. Who you will be seeing there?

    Please only use alternative

    Please only use alternative cures in conjunction with traditional treatment, not in place of. I've heard too many stories of people doing that only and losing the battle.

    Hi, Kevin. So sorry to hear about your wife's situation. Good for you both for not accepting palliative care only. I'm pretty much in the same category. Not a candidate for surgery, mets to liver after removal of big tumor in rectum, etc.  I refuse to give up.  I have tried a lot of alternatives. I read and research constantly. And I found a phenomenal Integrative Oncologist who is also an M. D.   Mistletoe injections have greatly improved my quality of life. I've looked into Chipsa, the Connors Clinic, and a few other places but I've found many of the same treatments are available locally. Read 'Radical Remission', if interested in some inspiration. Diet, I. V. Vitamin C, Reiki, acupuncture, THC and Cannabis oil, oxygen and ozone therapies.... there is a lot you can do in conjunction with chemo, if you choose. Hope your wife is feeling okay and staying strong. Prayers for your family and that you continue to seek better ways for your wife's comfort and wellness. -Beth
