Avoiding types of food?
For those that have been thrugh the radiation tratment do certain foods cause more mucous or stomach issues? 5 months post-treatment here and would love to stop wearing panty liners. I find certain days much better than others but have not been able to specifically determine what foods are the culprit. I am sure chips and other oily foods are an issue.
Thanks
Joe

side effect of radiation
This could be the inflammation they talk about as one of the side effects of radiation therapy. Mucositis or inflammation of the mucous membranes from your mouth to your anus. Some people experience mouth sores and some people have mucous that drains out. I personally have the issue that the tumors are right on my sphincters so I am incontinent. There are quite a few survivors on this anal cancer page that mention these issues with their treatment. Some people even say "radiation.. the gift that keeps on giving" ...
I hope that otherwise you are doing well with your treatments being over.
