Liver biopsy w/sedation

Hi. Tomorrow I undergo a liver biopsy. If you've experienced one, did it hurt? They will use propofol to put me under. Has anyone had this happen? Did they fully put you under or was there just a certain level of sedation?

 

I'm very nervous. Please share your experiences.

    How was your procedure. I am curious also. I will be bypassing this test and treating due to its size of 1.5 inches. (4mm?) y90 treatment to start.

    I had a liver biopsy last month. Long needle/probe inserted below rib cage. Local freezing. Only pain was the local being injected and that was not bad. Like having dental work, the freezing is the worst.

    I had liver biopsy last month and was painless.  Don’t worry.  They put me in a light sadation and I watched the doctor as he removed the biopsy samples with only feeling a pinch when needle went in.  Also, the incision was a pin hole with no bleeding afterwards.  Please take my word, going to the dentist is worse!  Good luck!!
