I had the same cancer
I was dx in April 2017 with Squarmous Cell Carcinoma involving my upper palet and upper gum area. Had surgery in late april, started Chemo in June, Radiation in September and finished in Novemeber. Had my third PetCT last week... Results show no signs of cancer. That makes me a survivor. Never give up hope. It may seem tough, but its all worth it in the end. Good luck.

Not sure of individual timelines as we are all unique in this area and the oncologis/hospital that treats us. But, I was diagnosed in May 2016, operated on July 18, 2016, radiation therapy september/october 2016 and followed by x number of PET scans with CT scans soon to be scheduled for my upper right lung and below my left ear. Only joined this forum in October 2017 to assist me in understanding this H&N cancer journey. Some of you, like CiviMatt, have much more experience on this site so their opinion/observation is always interesting/valid.
