Super scanxiety! Pain 6 months after surgery
Havent been back since hubbies diagnosis 6 months ago.. we are 26 imagine the shock ... still hard to believe. complete kidney removal in the end of July 2017.. we had 6 month follow up and hubby tells doc he is still having low back and hip pain which is definitely cause for concern. He was clear on pet scan after surgery. Doc ordered CT chest abdomen pelvis no contrast due to 1 kidney. anyone still have pain 6 months later? I’m terrified it’s a reoccurrence though what’s the chances we were just clear 6 months ago? says He doesn’t want to keep exposing him to pet scans if not needed. I guess my question is has anyone still had pain this long after surgery?

My pain was gone by the 4 th
My pain was gone by the 4 th week but 4.5 years later and I have hip and lower back pain and by Gods grace I have had all clear scans ever since . Maybe he pulled a muscle or is sleeping wrong. We are all hypaware of our aches and pains now when before we wouldn't notice. Try not to worry and see if doc will do a regular xray or us. I have had the same anxiety you have now and just getting blood work and a kidney function test was usually enough for me to calm back down
