If you're in the Northeast, get outside and walk!
Especially if you're on Oxy. It's low 60s here in New England and I've taken two outside already. Taking two more this afternoon.
Tomorrow - may take an hour off to go walk in the woods.

Global Warming?
I live in middle Tennesse real close to Al Gore's mansion. The weather is always a sensitive topic around here.
It was warm enough today for me to plant some potatoes, onions and I reset some strawberry plants. This spring means more to me than any of the previous 66 did.
The only time I was in Alberta (Edmonton) was in August 1989. I had the opportunity to go thru the Canadian jump school. What a beautiful place. One afternoon I had the opportunity to go for a run to relax. When I began it was about 75 F. When I finished it was about 45 F. A cold front had crossed the mountains and quickly blew through. I mentioned it to one of our hosts and he just laughed and said that I should be there in the winter time. I said no thanks. Ft Bragg, NC was much warmer and better suited my biorhythms. Edmonton was still a very clean and beautiful place (including the submarine in the mall).

Oxy
My oxy was given in dead of winter, and therefore couldn't get outside, but the treadmill worked fine (when the energy was there). It is a good thing to get out and walk, even if it's going to Walmart or your local mall. Exercise is always good.

I'm in the office wearing
I'm in the office wearing shorts right now. I changed to shorts to do a stretching and warmup routine in my office. I may just leave them on for today. I want to run down to the classroom to do some bodyweight stuff in a little bit. Cold sensitivity is gone and I'm feeling a lot better. Except for the huge bandage on my forearm. Feeling a little less old today. It's going to be 70s here in NH. I will be outside. There is still a little bit of snow on the ground.

Enjoy!
About 70 here today too, if the sun ever comes out. We have no snow left at all though. I think it’s going to cool down tomorrow

An unbelievable 78° here today
unseasonably warm but humid, grey and overcast with intemittent rain showers, although the sun has been making brief appearances as it plays peek-a-boo from behind the clouds . I 've been outside sweeping/raking/cleaning up leaves, branches, holly berries, etc that have blown onto the deck over the winter (one of the few disadvantages of having woods behind your house) and doing some general picking up around the deck and yard, turning the compost bins, etc. Finally got driven back inside by the high-pitched noises from my neighbors' mowers, leaf blowers, saws, sanders and whatever other noisy devices they're using. It would be nice to be outside with only the sounds of birds and the breezes blowing through the trees, but. . .

I just got back from a walk.
I just got back from a walk. 85 and sunny. Saw a coworker and my manager out there too (three separate walks). I have on a t-shirt and shorts and it was glorious. I did heavy weights and flexibility work early this morning. It's going to be cooler tomorrow but still relatively warm and the highs will be mostly in the 40s for the next two weeks. It may not sound like that much but that's really nice weather for this part of the country at this time of the year.

In the winter it's usually colder in Edmonton than in Calgary, which is the closest city to us. We get chinooks and they don't and it makes a big difference. We've been lacking them this winter, though. Chinooks can raise the temperature by 30 degrees celsius overnight and melt the snow in a couple of days. This winter we have so much snow I don't know where it'll go if we have to shovel again. The piles are so high already.
A 'memory' came up on my facebook today from two years ago. It's a picture of my horse with a pile of his winter hair on the ground below him because I'd been brushing it out. This year they haven't started to lose it yet.

Okay, you're on! My husband had dreamed of moving somewhere warm when he retired. He retired a year and a half ago and because of my health we can't move anywhere. I feel bad that it's yet another dream taken away by cancer. Like my dog daycare business. F**K CANCER. Sorry, I'm crabby and po'd about it.

You are correct Mike. Thanks for asking.
I am scheduled for a CT next Monday. That will be reviewed with my oncologist the following Wednesday (7 March). If I am clean then he will release me. If I am not then it will be a different ballgame.
Last week I met with my surgeon to discuss and schedule the ostomy reversal surgery. It is scheduled for Monday 26 March, depending upon the results of my CT next week.
I feel confident that I am NED. That is one reason why I stopped the chemo after only three infusions. The other reason, of course, was because the chemo was literally killing me.
Once I get reversed and adjusted to it, I will then need to focus on my other issue (significant lumbar spinal degeneration) which has plagued me since the early 90's. Some might say that jumping out of airplanes while in the Army either caused it or aggravated it, but the VA does not see it that way.
During my last visit with my pain management doctor (late December), she annotated a notable decrease in the strength of my left leg. I am convinced that my inordinate amount of inactivity and limited activity since my rectal cancer diagnosis in May 2017 has allowed the calcification of my spine to proceed uninhibited.
If I can get a clean CT scan followed by a successful ostomy reversal, then I will devote all of my attention to my skeletal issues. I went into this walking with a limited gait and listing to the right front. Now those characteristics are much more pronounced. Countering that ailment will then become my highest recuperative priority.
