Being grateful for what we have available

When I was at the dentist a few months ago, I started reading a National Geographic article about Cancer patients in thrid world countries. It made me heartsick and grateful for what we have available to us, even at a price. 

Here is another article that will make you grateful for living in a country where, even though the prices can be steep, at least gives us ample opportunities for treatment.

If you get the chance to read the National Geoographic article, I suggest it; espeically when you're feeling a little sad for yourself.

What's really sad is how much we and they (would) overpay and over suffer for basic CRC treatment.  I'm thinking $1-$2/day without the dramatic side effects.
