Happy Birthday Tru, 59 is a
Happy Birthday Tru, 59 is a fine age, so far. I celebrated your day by getting my follow-up after the jumbo hernia surgery Everything is good, all excess tissue removed. When healed up I'll plan some sort of body art to replace the missing belly-button and decorate the clean scar lines. I hope you enjoyed the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dave

Thank you all
I have had an absoluitely wonderful day, from the beginning to the end.
I enjoyed time alone up my snowy canyon, and even got to see a R.O.U.S. (anyone a Princess Bride fan will get that). A fat, furry rodent running away from me, making an adorable trail in the deep snow.
I joined four of my five sister-in-laws for a games day, where we laughed and laughed and laughed and ate way too much junk food.
And this evening my two boys took me out to dinner.
Unfortunately my husband worked all day and missed the fun.
So, there you have it. A grand birthday.
I am looking forward to turning 60 next year. - I mentioned to a patient at work yesterday, that I was so excited to be tunring 59. She said she had never heard of anyone excited about growing older, so I told her that I had Cancer and was given the five year speach, so should not be alive right now. That put a different perspective on aging for her.
I wish you all happiness, even as some of you struggle to make your way through treatment, surgeries, scans, and that ever present waiting game.
Blessings!
Tru

Laughing - great medicine
Hi Tru - You said you laughed a great deal on your birthday - what great medicine! I'm always telling my husband to find a "funny movie" - hard to find, but when you watch something funny or really laugh with friends or family (or by yourself - lol) it sure feels good. Happy birthday.
