Genetic Testing

Hello All,

I recently had genetic testing done and had a VUS (variant of unspecified significance) show up.  It was ATM.  What I was wondering is if anyone else here has had the same result?  I only ask because the genetic counselor stated that they need  further studies correlating with specific cancers to know just what the ATM variant may mean for those of us testing positive.  I have contacted my aunt as she had genetic testing done too due to our family history and her own breat cancer dx, but she hasn’t received a copy from her genetic counselor yet.   I thought this forum may be a good place to seek information on this.  I hope to gain some input as I am scheduled for a core biopsy on Jan 3, and am trying to get as much knowledge as possible while I wait.  Any input is very much appreciated.  I hope those who are ATM variant positive will share their stoties so we can accumulate information and maybe gain a better idea of what this variant means for us all.

Thank you for any information on this, and well wishes to all :0)
