UTI.
Anyone had any problems with urinary tract infections post surgery
I had my surgery on Sept 21st
I was recovering well but three weeks after surgery I started having UTI.s
The first one was horrendous.. Spent a day in hospital and a week in bed
Get prompt antibiotics every time ... tested with samples and Microbiology recommendations of antibotics but they keep coming back
I am now on my third Attack and treatment and I am ready to go insane
i am having more tests done next week but Just wondered if anyone else have had this
i haven’t had a infection since probably early married days and as I am a widow there isnt anything I am doing that could be causing them
Help

Hey! I had the same trouble
Hey! I had the same trouble about four weeks post op. Told UTI then kidney infection. I was peeing 28 times a day and burning like crazy. Doc went in and did a cystoscopy. Cleaned out bladder and stretch my ureter...no more issues. My obgyn said with surgery sometimes dissolvable things collect inside your bladder and it's good to clean it out. Good luck to you! This impeded my recovery.

I developed a UTI just a few
I developed a UTI just a few days after surgery. It was probably starting before I went home because I had a slight fever off and on while in the hospital, but they figured it was just post-surgical because that can happen. Surgery was on a Thursday, went home Sunday. Monday night I was really cranky. Fussing and whining like a two year old. Next day, started vomiting. My husband rushed me to ER. Tests and scans, because they were concerned about a wound infection or something like that. Labs came back...UTI. Had IV antibiotic, then got sent home with a prescripton. The next morning, I was up and ready to go.
Mine didn't burn. Main symptoms were a slight fever and the vomiting.
