That, too, shall pass.  My husband had insomnia after his nephrectomy for about 4 to 6 weeks.  He never had insomnia prior to this.  As soon as he went back to work, and his normal routine, he was able to sleep again.  You just have to ride it out!  LOL!

    Me too!

My dr prescribed trazadone for my insomnia.  I am 4 weeks post op.  I take a half and sleep like a baby.  Hope you get some rest soon :)

    As needed

My Dr. gave me a prescription to take as needed.  I tried melatonin and it did not work for me.  I'm hoping once i get used to my new normal I will be able to fall asleep on my own again.  I just seem to feel the most anxious at night.

If you live in a state where it's legal...

...I'd recommend checking into Cannabis oil. There are two types: CBD oil and THC oil. THC will be stronger as it is psychoactive. CBD will have less to none of that effect, but should still relax you and help you sleep. I believe CBD oil may be available in all 50o states. I know THC oil is not. There are other things to consider with this too. Let me know if you want to pursue this option, and I can tell you more. Good luck!
