Newly Diagnosed-Could use some advice re Lab findings

    Do not know the details of your case, but if simply monitoring the disease is available, why have a radical treatment that can change the quality of the rest of your life. Active surveillance for low aggresive . low volume disease is the  preferred treatment.

    Psa 2.97 Biospy showed  left mid x2 prostatic adenocarcinoma 3+3 =6 gleason  2 out of 12 cores  digitail exam felt large nodule.

    low risk localized doctor stated prostectomy or radiation options or active survellance with large nodule would not recommend .Have been to Vanderbilt for second opinion with Dr

    that said same thing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .60 years old good health.

    Probably best to copy and paste to a new thread

    Please include prostate size(seeds are an option with smaller prostate size), and any other diagnostic test to include but not limited to image (MRI)
