Surgery date for husband’s new cancer

in Kidney Cancer #1

Dec 18 will be the big day. Small bowel resection for a 3.5 x 3 stromal tumor. The surgeon wants to also remove his appendix for a related reason but only as a precaution. Using this site on an iPhone is enough to drive me insane, so I’ll update more as we move forward. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating

    We’re hopeful 3.5 cm in 9 months is early enough!!!

    Sigh!! So hard not knowing exactly what we are dealing with, with total certainty. All we’ve heard so far is positive news, but without a biopsy I stress.  New mantra: Whatever it is, I’ll do it.

    Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your husband. I think the stress is worse for the caregivers.. you both got through the first diagnosis together and positive thoughts for this one.
