Recurrant Dcis. Debating unilateral or bilateral mastectomy

Hello all

i had DCIS in 2005 at the age of 44  decided to do lumpectomy which had to be done 3 times to get a clear margin. Got radiation treatment and then 5 yrs of Tamoxofin. Now last month in my regular Mamo found out that there is a recurrence of DCIS in the same breast but different location. I was advised another lumpectomy as it was minimal. Got that done  However yesterday found out that my margin is not clear and some part was micro invasive , so now am going for mastectomy with 5 year of medication.  I am in a lot of confusion as iam debating if I should do bilateral with no meds or unilatreal mastectomy with meds. The Doctors tell me that with DCIS in only one breast it is an overkill to do bilateral..if any of you have had bilateral after having DCIS in one breast pls share your experience. Also would like to know side effects of Armidex . They say it is a1% chance per year for getting in second breast.  Very confused. Any info or experience would be appreciated
