    BCG treatment

Dear Sevewin and ohers.  I am recently diagnosed with bladder cancer that includes both non-invasive and invasive tumors (2).  I am 80 and concerned about BCG treatment and negative effects.  Also, does anyone have any information on survival?

    BCG about 5 yrs ago

I had bladder cancer 2014-16 with BCG infusions  durning this period. The BCG infusions were successful and I'm currently bladder cancer free. My urologist does CYSTO every 6 months to look inside my bladder to verify I'm cancer free and I think I'm ready to graduate to 1 every year. The BCG infusions are not  bad and I would say the toughest part is keeping the BCG infusion in your bladder and turning from side to side to move it around. Its not a painful proceedure. But getting use to the idea of someone infusing you takes some getting use to. I would say to myself > there are a lot worst things they could be doing to me and I think that thought process helped. I'm 80 this month, not sure I can say there are negative effects  > Good luck

    BCG

I had bladder cancer and had BCG infusions.

I was told 70% of us get fixed by BCG infusions.

I am due for CYSTO on 9th June 2021.
