Dear Cancer,

You have taught me so much!!!….

Sometimes I want to say thank you for the teachings, but mostly I want to say SCREW YOU forever. (You had me once, but never again.)

BECAUSE OF YOU I:

• Pray and PRAISE GOD constantly.
• Live every minute to the fullest.
• Am starting my bucket list early - NOW.
• Verbalize and show love daily to my dearest.
• Forgive 100% those who have hurt me irreparably.
• Have the courage to eliminate negative people out of my life without guilt.
• Control that inner voice. POSITIVE thoughts only!!!
• Empathize completely with the elderly and those with debilitating diseases. I have recently felt 100+ years old, but am now getting younger every day. It’s a great feeling!
• Prejudge less….most have their story as well.

 

BECAUSE OF YOU, "EXCITEMENT AND ACCOMPLISHMENT" COMES WITH SMALLEST OF THINGS:

• Waking up
• Tasting or thinking I am tasting food
• Swallowing food without choking
• Feeling any saliva or moistness in my mouth
• Being able to work or contribute to a project
• Driving a car – Towing a trailer
• Feeling non lethargic
• Weight gain
• DOCTORS VISITS SHOWING NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE RETURNING
• Slowly sipping a bit of coffee in the AM and a bit of wine in the PM (my radiated tongue did not allow this until a couple weeks ago!!!)
• Sitting with my family watching the World Series! GO DODGERS!!!

Cancer….YOU GOT ME ONCE….. Stage 4a Tonsil cancer - metatastic to my Cervical Lymph nodes. YOU HAVE BEEN ERADICATED and I am on the mend. Don’t even think of returning ANYWHERE, EVER.
