Urinary Incontinence
wo weeks ago I started the new chemo treatment (Erbitux). The day after my bladder just decided to start leaking as I was walking to the bathroom. Then for my next chemo, last week, it happened again. And one night in bed.
Since that time, there was a complication and chemo last week had to be postponed. Now I don't have the problem. It seems related but I guess I'll know soon enough, I'm scheduled for another treatment today and plan to ask the doctor about it, if I see her.
Has anyone else had this problem? My H&N cancer metastisized to the liver which is where I'm being trezted now if that helps any..

My husband has had 7 rounds
My husband has had 7 rounds of Erbitux and has not experienced a leaking bladder. It might be a normal side effect...we just haven't experienced it yet. Maybe someone else can chime in too.

Don't know about H&N but definitely a side effect of PCa
I don't know about H&N but it's definitely a common side effect of prostate cancer. I was totally incontinent for a full year and ultimately had to have an artificial urinary sphincter implant so I could get pelvic radiation underway. Not many men talk about incontinence, but a lot of us live with it.

My husband has had 4 rounds of Erbitux
So far that has not been a side effect. So sorry to hear you're having to deal with that too.

I was told in the initial
I was told in the initial chemo class that urinary incontinence is a common side effect of any chemo. Usually temporary but could be permanent. Usually happens to women. Didn't happen to me. However, sounds temporary if it only happens/c your chemo. Talk to your nurse. Might be able to put your mind at ease.
