My husbands pet scan read: thorax findings: hyper metabolic foci: 4x3x1.5 cm residual hyper metabolic malignant soft tissue mass in the superior mediastinum above the aortic arch with maximum suv 5.2 lungs: significant interval decrease size of mass in the left upper lobe which measures 1.2 cm on current exam and has no fdg activity. Other: interval resolution of previously seen malignant extension into paraspinal soft tissues and epidural space at the t5-t6. Could someone please explain this to me in terms I can understand?

    I would call the oncologist

I would call the oncologist and ask for an explanation. Too complex for me to understand. Sounds like some have resolved and one has either grown or is stable. Best wishes!
