Chemo cocktail?
Also, what chemo cocktail did your Mom have? I have been having folfiri + avastin prior. Really causing a lot of side effects that last longer and longer. Do need this chemo break. Again, all the best and thank youror keeping us aware of her progress.

Nov 2015 - March 2016 - 5-Fu, Oxaliplatin, Leucovorin
April 2016 - May 2016 - 5-Fu, Leucovorin
May 2016 - Oct 2017 - Avastin, Irinotecan
48 cycles so farThe only one that caused neuropathy was oxaliplatin. Other than that it's the normal loss of hair, nausea, fatigue that comes along with all the chemo.

our update - as of this week
He had the mapping 2 1/ weeks ago and that went well. just a little sore from the groin incision. The dr ordered an MRI for the following Monday to measure the tumor sizing for doage that week. Went back in last week for the 1st treatment (one side of liver) and that went well. No issues other than pain the dy of and some the am after...ohh and a little tiredness. We are scheduled togo back in the week after turkey day for the other side of the liver treatment. The doc will then wait about 6-8 weeks for a scan to review the areas treated.
We have had a wonderful experience with the dr's and staff doing the procedure (which is actually new to the hospital we are at)0 -

We have had a wonderful experience with the dr's and staff doing the procedure (which is actually new to the hospital we are at)It seems like we're only doing the right side of the liver since one of the tumors on the left side is actually being fed by the veins from the right. So can do everything in one go.
Just a question, did they go through the same hole in the groin from the mapping? Or did they enter at a different place? And how long was the procedure?0 -

our day for mapping was a 6:30 check in, taken to procedure room at 8, he was in there about 2 + hrs, then recovery in nucleur med, then in reg room till about 1pm.
treatment about the same... well until about noon.. so it was a little shorter time frame0 -
Y90 Successful
Y90 procedure was successful. It took 2 hours for the procedure to complete. They entered through a vein in the groin area again. All Y90 spheres were pumped in to the correct locations. No serious side effects yet other than being told not to move/walk around until the groin area is healed up for awhile. Not sure if there would be any side effects from the radiation yet.

Awesome
So glad that it was successful. That has to give you comfort that all went well. I'd take that as a very good sign that things are looking great going forward. Thanks for letting us know. Wishing you the best and a speedy recovery.
